Leon Allain

Consultant and Training Facilitator

As an autistic young adult who experienced varying degrees of support throughout school, postgraduate studies and the world of work, Leon is a strong advocate for the value of effective, empathetic support for all. He is especially passionate about ensuring that all young people can achieve in education, championing the importance of autism awareness and acceptance. Leon hopes that autistic pupils may then face fewer barriers whilst trying to access the curriculum.

Through his continued advocacy and consultancy work, in education, employment, products and services will raise greater awareness of different ways of thinking that will lead to better support and outcomes for all. Leon is also an Associate Trainer for the National Association of Special Educational Needs (nasen) in the UK and has provided consultancy and training for The LEGO Foundation and the LEGO Group. Recent projects include supporting the development of an inclusive remote education platform for marginalised children across Africa, supporting the development of internship programmes for neurodivergent young people and advising a pan-African multimedia organisation in their autism acceptance programme.
